Swiss hospital fires false doctor
The Swiss newspaper Der Bund reports that the University Psychiatric Hospital at the University of Berne has fired a quality manager who had presented herself as having a doctorate in medicine and an honorary professorship from the University of Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Even though a medical doctorate was not necessary for the job, having presented fraudulent papers was sufficient grounds for immediate dismissal. The university has announced that it will be pressing charges against her. The comments on this article note that this department seems to be embroiled in a number of other scandals at the moment as well, as well as noting the supreme irony of a quality manager lying about her qualifications.
